Fidan Kurt Kasapbaşı

Fidan was born in Germany in 1979. In 1996, she was accepted to the Music Department of Marmara University Atatürk Faculty of Education and the Part-Time Opera-Singing Department of Istanbul University State Conservatory. She successfully graduated from both schools in 2000. In 2001, she started working as an instructor at the Music Department of Kocaeli University Faculty of Fine Arts. In 2004, she completed her master's thesis titled "The Usability of Physical and Mental Relaxation Techniques in Vocal Training" at Kocaeli University Social Sciences Institute. From 2003 to 2007, she participated as a vocal trainer in the research on vocal diseases conducted by the Department of Otolaryngology at Kocaeli University Medical Faculty.
In 2012, she joined Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory from Kocaeli University. During her time at both institutions, she performed numerous concerts as a soloist and choir conductor domestically and internationally; she also participated in symposiums, congresses, panels, and master classes.
In 2015, she began directing the Choir of the Vocal Education Department at Istanbul Technical University Turkish Music State Conservatory. With this choir, she was awarded "Success in Folk Music Interpretation" at the 21st Turkey Polyphonic Choir Festival; in 2018, she received awards for "Polyphonic Folk Music Interpretation," "Solo Work Interpretation," and "Harmony Between Choir and Conductor in Interpretation" at the 3rd International Pamukkale University Choirs Festival.
She continues to teach Vocal Education courses at the same institution and remains engaged in academic and artistic activities, spanning from traditional to universal artistic understanding.
