Avaye Mahan

Founded in 2007 by Nima Fatehi, Avaye Mahan is a chamber choir of about 25 singers based in Tehran. The choir has had several concerts in different styles at different venues in Iran and abroad. Avaye Mahan has participated and been honored in several international festivals. The choir ranked 2nd and 1st place at two rounds of Fajr Music Festival in Tehran, received 3 silver and 1 bronze rankings at Interkultur choir festivals Canta Al Mar 2015 and Asia Pacific Choir Games 2017. They have participated in several friendship festivals like Korofest 2014 and Iran Choir Festivals of Shiraz. This choir has worked with different repertoires and styles, including classical, jazz and folklore and has made several studio recordings as well.
Nima Fatehi

Born in 1981, Nima Fatehi is an Iranian choir director, composer and pianist. He studied Electrical Engineering and Management and got his masters degree in Music Composition from the University of Tehran, while he was conducting various choirs and orchestras in Tehran. He founded Avaye Mahan in 2007. He has participated with this team in several international festivals and held several concerts in diverse styles at different venues. He participated in classes and workshops, studied choir and orchestra with masters like Nader Mashayekhi, Nasir Heydarian, Thomas Caplin, Henry Pompido, John Schumacher and Wolfgang Vangenroth. He has written and arranged many songs for choir, piano, ensemble and orchestra.
