Basilio Astulez

Basilio Astulez completed his music education at Jesús Guridi Conservatory in Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain. He teaches Choral Singing at Leioa Municipal Conservatory and founded Leioa Kantika Korala children's choir in 2001, La Kantoria youth girl's choir in 2005 and SJB mixed choir in 2007. The young choir, consisting of over 100 singers aged 9 to 20, has won numerous awards in Spanish and European competitions. Astulez currently serves as a professor of Choral Conducting at various conservatories, universities, and choral federations in Spain. He is often invited as a jury member for international competitions and conducts courses and seminars on choral singing.
