Cal Jazz Choir
The Cal Jazz Choir is UC Berkeley's all gender, student led vocal jazz ensemble. Their repertoire draws on the full breadth of the genre, and much of their music is arranged by current and former members. Since 1976, CJC has shared their enthusiasm and energy through frequent performances on campus and around the world.

Charlie Ming-Zhen Smith
Cal Jazz Choir is a student-directed ensemble at the University of California, Berkeley. This year, Charlie Doris and Charlie Ming-Zhen Smith are taking the lead. Charlie Smith sings alto and studies Molecular and Cell Biology. A vocalist and classical pianist, Smith is very passionate about connecting with others through music and performance. Charlie Doris sings tenor and is studying Music Composition and Molecular and Cell Biology. He is a composer and guitarist and his focus on improvisation and collaborative composition allows him to blend his many stylistic backgrounds.
