İzBB Polyphonic Women's Choir
İzBB Polyphonic Women's Choir started its journey on January 24, 2022 with 32 amateur and professional women choir members. The choir’s first performance, a mini-concert for March 8th, International Women’s Day was broadcast on the IzmirTube channel. They held their first full concert only three months after the choir was formed, performing songs in many different languages.After a short break, the choir began working with Halil İbrahim Aydın in 2023. On March 23, 2024, they held a joint concert with two other polyphonic women's choirs located in Izmir: NHKM Bi Dünya Müzik Women's Choir and TPKD Selluka Women's Choir. The choir aims to make the polyphonic voices of women heard not only in Izmir but across all of Turkey.
Halil İbrahim Aydın
Born in Karabük in 1999, Halil İbrahim Aydın started studying in the Department of Music Education at Ankara Gazi University in 2017. During his education, he performed with important ensembles such as Ankoro, Muammer Sun Mixed Choir, Orfeon Chamber Choir and Saygun Philharmonic Choir. In 2021, Aydın started his master's degree and he currently continues to sing in Choir Turkey and Turkey Youth Choir. In 2022, he became the assistant conductor of the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Polyphonic Children's Choir and he began conducting the Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Polyphonic Women's Choir in 2023. Currently, he continues his conducting career in TPKD Izmir Branch SmyrnAcappella, TPKD Selluka Women's Choir and Izmir Bar Association Polyphonic Choir.
